The order consisted on projecting a office space in a new urban area in Pamplona. The commercial premises are in the ground floor of a residential building, presenting a really irregular geometry, with lots of nooks, but shaping a significantly spacious space.
At the same time, the longitudinal shaped plan, parallel to one of the streets, patterned by a series of windows of the facade forced from the general composition of the building, which in a falsely ordered way followed the rhythm of the windows of the houses.
The strategy is supported by two ideas: on one hand the project defines with a broken line, a perimeter that orders and packs the internal uses of service against the interior and opaque side of the premises, setting free the rest of the premises in a succession of different areas, always related to the luminous exterior perimeter, on the other, the idea of a hanged white plane that modifies the section, defining the different working spaces, in contrast to the general circulation space.
Both complementary decisions, make possible the connivance of the amplitude given by the generous dimension of the premises with the definition of limited areas. Because of that the section and the premises are defined by that hanged plane.
This element not only defines the space, but also makes possible the environmental and specific lighting over the working areas. It also keeps inside the rest of the required installations, guaranteeing a clean presence of the space without overlapping elements.
The general lines of the project organize clearly the space in three areas in order to the needed program: the program is staggered from the most public area to the production space and finally to the most private room, trying to avoid the unnecessary crosses. The opaque spaces, such as toilets, archives, storage are disposed in the communication area, dividing and distancing the different working environments inside the fluid space through a full and empty rhythm.
The proposal regularize the interior geometry of the windows trough the thickness and shape of the space between windows, according them with the uniform sequence of spaces that organize the program, allowing the serene views of the exterior and the incoming of the natural light in each environment.
The materiality of the project, according to the spatial questions, define warm working areas, with the idea of generating more defined and friendly environment inside a rougher box, that evoke the basic and primary characteristics of the premises.

El encargo consistía en la elaboración de unas oficinas en un barrio de nueva generación de Pamplona. El local se sitúa en la planta baja de un edificio de viviendas, presentando una geometría muy irregular, llena de recovecos pero que conformaba un espacio significativamente amplio.
Al mismo tiempo, la planta de carácter apaisado en paralelo a una de las calles, quedaba pautada por una serie de huecos de la fachada obligados desde la composición general del edifico, que de forma falsamente ordenada seguía el ritmo de los huecos de las viviendas.
La estrategia responde a dos ideas: por un lado la planta del proyecto define, con una traza quebrada, un perímetro que ordena y compacta los usos internos de servicio contra el lado interior y opaco del local, liberando de esta forma el resto del local en una sucesión pautada de diferentes áreas, vinculados siempre a su perímetro exterior iluminado. Y por otro lado, la aparición de un plano blanco suspendido que ajusta la sección, delimitando los diferentes ámbitos de trabajo frente al espacio general del local, de circulación.
Ambas decisiones, de forma complementaria, posibilitan la convivencia de la amplitud que aporta las dimensiones generosas del local inicial, con la definición de unas zonas acotados. Por tanto, la sección y el local quedan definidos por este plano suspendido.
Este elemento, al margen de conformar las cuestiones espaciales, permitirá resolver tanto la iluminación ambiental como la específica sobre los puestos de trabajo además de albergar el resto de instalaciones requeridas, garantizando una presencia limpia del contenedor sin elementos superpuestos donde el protagonista sea siempre el propio espacio.
La traza del proyecto organiza de forma nítida el espacio en tres zonas atendiendo al programa de necesidades: el programa se dispone de forma escalonada, de lo más público a lo más productivo y de ahí a lo más privado, evitando cruces innecesarios que castiguen un funcionamiento natural de la oficina. Entre estas áreas, en las circulaciones se disponen los diferentes espacios ciegos de almacenamiento, archivo y aseos, separando y distanciando los diferentes ámbitos laborales dentro del espacio continuo a través de un ritmo de llenos y vacíos.
La propuesta regulariza por su interior los huecos de fachada del edificio conformados por machones de diferentes geometrías y espesores, acordando éstos con la secuencia uniforme de espacios con los que se organiza el programa, permitiendo tanto la mirada profunda y discreta del exterior como la entrada directa de la luz natural en cada uno de estos ámbitos.
La materialidad del proyecto, acompañando las cuestiones espaciales, pretende definir unos ámbitos de trabajo más acotados y acogedores dentro del espacio general conformado desde una traza seca, que intenta evocar el carácter primero y básico del local.
